Hippity Hoppity, Easter's On It's Way!

Noah has been getting very into Easter eggs. I bought a kit - the tie-dye kind, by the way, which ended up being pretty cool - and we set out to color our eggs last night. At first Noah was very bored. Actually, I don't think he knew what we were doing but the minute I pulled out those color tablets and they started dissolving in the vinegar he was all about dying him some eggs!

The tie dye eggs turned out to be a little too complicated for a two year old, so Wes and Noah did the eggs the old fashioned way while I made some using the tie dye method. Noah was very serious about stirring the eggs while they were in the dye. Wes was petrified that he was going to spill. Me? I was too busy creating my own works of art to care about spillage. Yet another difference between natural born Shealys and married in Shealys.....

This morning we continued the egg fun by going to an Easter egg hunt and the house of some of our church friends. Noah did enjoy hunting for eggs - even if he only found four.

For some reason he is just not that competitive when it comes to egg hunts. He found some eggs and then said, "I'm done." I asked him how many he had. He looked into his basket, counted them, and said, "Four. I'm good." And off he went to see how his friends were.

So, that is what we are up to. And oh yeah, apparently baths are NOT cool anymore. These days we take a shower. Long, hot showers where we scream out "5 more minutes!" every time we tell him it's time to get out.
